Syamsul Bachri Chaeruddin (born in Makassar, Sulawesi Selatan, 9 February 1983) is an Indonesian footballer, he normally plays as a midfielder and his height is 165 cm. He is playing for the Indonesia national football team. First International debut in senior national team squad at friendly match for Indonesia against Malaysia in 12 March 2004 and Indonesia draw 0-0 in this game. At Asian Cup 2007 he playing 3 times when Indonesia win 2-1 from Bahrain (he subtitutioned Mahyadi Panggabean was injured), lose 1-2 from Saudi Arabia and lose 0-1 from South Korea at last game in group D.
