Fair use

SWOG_logo.gif falls under the fair use doctrine for United States' copyright laws. It signifies the emblem of a publicly funded, not-for-profit health-care organization. Although no other pictures of this kind appear within Wikipedia, the Southwest Oncology Group logo can be considered applicable to the prospects of fair use on the internet. Arriba Soft Corporation (2003), which marked the first Supreme Court case involving copyright infringement of logos on the internet.
