[edit] Photograph Contradiction and Swizzle Stick Confusion

It seems the second photo with the swizzle stick contradicts the text which says that the flat end goes into the drink (the picture has the pointed end in the drink)... If they were created to "spear" olives out of the drinks then why do you use the flat end in the drink... you can't spear anything with it? Is there proper ediquette for wiping off the stick and putting the oppisite end in if you want to change from stirring/spearing? Answers to these questions would make a good edition to the text.
