Hey folks, thanks for stopping by! I'm just a guy who likes to write, and this place lets me write about things I love and know a little about.
My favorite contributions so far:
- Nintendo 64 sections, mainly the development and hardware overview
- Ensoniq sound cards (each article made by me)
- Sound Blaster article overhaul, along with individual pages for a bunch of the separate cards.
- Star Trek games. I worked on a few of them, including Klingon Academy, StarFleet Academy, A Final Unity, and Klingon Honor Guard.
- Star Wars games. Work on several articles, including the X-Wing space fighter sims, Rebellion, and Dark Forces.
- ATI Radeon. I did the majority of the work on the Radeon R100, R200, R300, and R420 articles.
- NVIDIA GeForce. Worked primarily on GeForce FX, but also a bit on the other members of the series as well.
In the "real" world, I work as a web designer/database manager/PC tech. I have a bachelor's degree from Michigan Technological University (oh it is so beautiful up there!) in management information systems. That degree is just a formalization of a fraction of my passion for computing, however. I'm big on PHP and MySQL for most of my database-driven sites. In my spare geeky time, I build and tweak PCs like a madman to fulfill my needs as a crazed gaming enthusiast.
Outside of the computerized cavern, I'm an avid snowmobiler during the wonderful winter months. When the heat of summer arrives, I love to boat or hit a lake with a personal water craft and do some kneeboarding. I also have a fascination with photography and can be found doing weird things like photographing leaves on the ground to make strange Windows backgrounds.
I greatly enjoy electronic music, mainly the more "mellow" progressive and trance styles as played by Markus Schulz and Armin van Buuren. That's not to say that I don't enjoy lots of musical styles, however. I'm always looking for something unique and creative.
