Talk:Swallow tattoo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You're thinking about the "swallow" tattoo, not the sparrow. The sparrow is more of a religious symbol. -L.t.O

A swallow is not the same as a bluebird. It's swallows that return to San Juan Capistrano every year, and swallows that fly skillfully over water. I'm no tatoo expert, just a biologist, but I think the reference to bluebirds ought to be removed. Some swallows are blue-backed and have a rosy breast so resemble bluebirds, but they're quite different creatures.
