Swainby

Swainby is a hamlet in the Hambleton district of North Yorkshire, England. It is very near the A1, and 6 miles south west of Northallerton.
The village contains 3 pubs, 'The Blacksmiths Arms', 'The Black Horse' and 'The Miners Arms'. There is also a caravan park and the village is close to the ruins of Whorlton castle.
