Swabian Circle
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A map of the Imperial Circles as at the beginning of the 16th century. The Swabian Circle is shown in yellow.
The Swabian Circle (German: Schwäbischer Reichskreis) was an Imperial Circle of the Holy Roman Empire.
The circle was made up of a great number of mainly very small states; only the duchy of Württemberg, the margraviates of Baden-Baden and Baden-Durlach, and the bishopric of Augsburg were of any significance.
