Svein Gjedrem

Svein Ingvar Gjedrem (born 25 January 1950 in Finnøy) is a Norwegian economist and current Governor of the Central Bank of Norway.

He graduated in political economy from the University of Oslo in 1975, worked as a consultant in the Central Bank of Norway from 1975–1979 and in the Ministry of Finance from 1979 to 1998. He has served as the Central Bank Governor since 1999.

In the late 1960s and early 1970s Gjedrem played football for Viking and Lyn.[1] Svein Gjedrem has attended the Bilderberg meetings.
