[edit] License tagging for Image:Gemtronics GT302 DF.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Gemtronics GT302 DF.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:10, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome!

[edit] Zendian Problem

I don't think the Zendian Problem article belongs in the WP Military History since it is a fictional exercise with no direct connection to actual military operations. It also is not a stub; the article is about as complete as it is ever going to get. — DAGwyn (talk) 23:16, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

I don't know of a reference for the Dundee Society, other than information directly from people involved who prefer not to be named. Somebody once submitted a FOIA request for information on this to NSA, but their response was that there was no (releasable) documentation about it. — DAGwyn (talk) 16:00, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for several edits

I noticed you were putting the rating template in some of the intelligence cycle articles, which I appreciate -- I never knew where to get the template. Several points did not get a yes/no -- do you feel there needs to be clarification, or additional material, before a full rating?

Thanks again for the clarification. Howard C. Berkowitz (talk) 19:59, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Direction finding

Fully agree the information is scattered. Should there be one article that discusses all the technologies, which is then referenced by the application articles (e.g., SIGINT, search and rescue, wildlife tracking)? Admittedly, several of these have specific technologies, such as the 406 MHz EPIRB distress beacons and satellite relays. WWII HF/DF certainly has historical significance of its own, one of the key technologies being the introduction of shipboard direction finders.

For the technology, have you considered time-of-arrival interferometry as well as Doppler and phase analysis?

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:DRA5.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:DRA5.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 18:41, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image license

The above image still lacks a license tag. Checking through Wikipedia:Image copyright tags may provide the necessary guidance to decide which tag to use. If not, media copyright questions page would be a good place to ask. Cheers. --Sturm 17:33, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
