Talk:Suzy Cohen

Talk:Suzy cohen Hello, I received a message regarding "notability" and that my Wikipedia post had no "assertion" and I do not know where to put this. I am a syndicated columist with Tribune Media Services and have been nationally syndicated for over 7 years. They are the largest multi-media conglomerate in the world and my health column "Dear Pharmacist" reaches 24 million people each week, internationally too. It has been translated to other languages. Further, I am the author of The 24-Hour Pharmacist, published by HarperCollins, the largest publisher in the world. Can someone help me figure out how to make the "assertion" of "notability" before my post is deleted. Thank you. Docsam1292 18:07, 16 June 2007 (UTC)Suzy

  • Presuming from your user name that you are the "Dr. Samuel M. Cohen" married to Suzy Cohen, you are violating WP:NPOV in writing this article. If you are Suzy Cohen herself, given your addition to the signature, you are violating both WP:Auto and Wikipedia:Username policy by sharing this account. --RandomHumanoid() 18:13, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
  • I think this is also a violation of WP:OR. Needs sources.Bwowen 22:21, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Clean up

I cleaned up this painfully self-promoting article. Aren't people embarrassed to promote themselves so shamelessly? --RandomHumanoid() 03:53, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

Dear Random Humanoid: Thanks for editing my post, that was very nice of you. I wrote the Sections for the page based upon the format of other Wikipedia pages for famous authors/hosts, and just filled in the sections as they applied to me, that is why there was so much personal information. I'm sorry that it was inappropriate to the 'encyclopedia' nature of your website. Now that I totally understand, I can make any changes that Wikipedia finds necessary, or even better, I will relinquish to the Wikipedia editors if anyone has a few minutes to help me. Computer skills (and even navigating around this site!) are a challenge for me. I am a clinical person and spend my days answering health questions (both privately for free, and in the press via my column) to help other 'humanoids' feel better, get out of pain or cure diseases. I am grateful for any input/editing from you, or that of any other person who can help. As for verifiability, Tribune Media Services will vouch for my columns in the newspapers(www.tribune.com or 800-245-6536, ask for Scott Cameron) and Harper Collins in New York (www.harpercollins.com or 212-207-7678 ask for "MEO") for my book. Verifiability on me as a pharmacist, The Board of Pharmacy has me listed by license number: PS24779 in Florida. If you'd like verifiability with my patients or readers, I can arrange that too. I am happy with the post as I saw it just now. Will you allow it to remain once these changes are made? Would you like me to provide you with anything else? Docsam1292 23:01, 17 June 2007 (UTC)Suzy

  • Hello Suzy. I can't stress strongly enough that you should not edit this article about yourself. Please read our policies on autobiographies WP:AUTO and maintaining a neutral point of view WP:NPOV. There are very few circumstances that merit your touching this article directly. Also, you may want to read WP:Verifiability for any future articles, not relating to you, that you may wish to create. --RandomHumanoid() 04:42, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

Hello again. I read those sections you recommended, I understand now. Thanks. Docsam1292 16:03, 18 June 2007 (UTC)Suzy
