In many regions in Tajikistan suzani us used in celebration like wedding. The place where a bride is sitting would be covered with big Suzani and usually young grils make many suzani's and save them for their wedding days. The talent of the young ladies is graded by the quality of the suzanithey make. In ancient time suzani was used for various things around the house and nowadays it is mostly used to cover pillows, tables, blankets,etc.
