[edit] Please add references

Dear Surly Dwarf,

You have added some valuable information to this long neglected article on Nilgai. Some of it is in the form of very precise figures, facts and statistics. Please add appropriate references also to indicate the mother source of this data.

Keep up the good work, regards, AshLin 16:07, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

Just type it in like a normal reference. I have seen a couple of templates around, but never bothered to use them as I dont see how they add value, while I felt they would restrict my style of writing. As an example of how I write references of books, see the list at the bottom of one of my articles Plain Tiger. For example of scientific article entries, see Krill (a featured article and wonderfully written).
Keep things simple. If some purist insists on a format (we've got some of those around too ;) ), let him do it manually or with a bot. Dont let formatting worries hinder you from putting up info.
If you need help, go to Help pages (hows that for redundant information :) ). Still need help? Ask one of us guys. If we can, we'll help you.
Oh yes, add some info to your user page too. People get a bit suspicious of users with red links as their user pages. Tell us something about yourself. You are part of a 'community' now!
How come you know so much about 'Nilgai' while your other contribs are about 'nicotine' and stuff? You don't seem to be Indian.
