[edit] History
It was founded by Robert Nagel in 2001. There are presently seven restaurants, with plans also in the works for a location in West End, Longbranch (exact location to be announced).
Surf Taco has evolved from a small taco shop (good food); to Surf Taco Bar (How about an ice cold beer with that Mavericks), Surf Taco Magazine (connect with our culture); and coming soon, Surf Taco Resort (The ultimate escape).
The Surf Taco Resort, will be housed in an undisclosed location, where there is a paradise in the making. "I wanted to create a place where staff, customers, friends, and family can go to escape and enjoy the Surf Taco lifestyle", says Rob Nagel.
The success of Surf Taco cannot be mentioned without the help of
- Michael Courtney
- Patrick Hernon
- Richard Hernon, Sr.

[edit] Menu
Main categories of food include: tacos, burritos, wraps, smoothies, salads, quesadillas, side kicks (extra chips and salsa, chicken fingers, etc), and the famous tsunamis. Tsunamis are oversized burritos of grilled chicken, rice, beans, jack & cheddar cheeses, lettuce, sour cream, & salsa wrapped in two extra large flour tortillas, served wet topped with guacamole, sour cream & Pico de Gallo. If you eat the Tsunami in fifteen minutes, you get your picture on the Tsunami Hall of Fame.
