I don't think it should be merged, because Function approximation is a mathematical approach to the problem, just like how neuroplasticity is a biological approach to it Paskari 20:41, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

This article is a very solid description of supervised learning (at least according to my limited understanding of the subject). However, it could be even better if there could be sources provided. Right now, there are none. 11:24, 24 November 2006
