This article deals with software such as Nmap and it's current uses in the computer field. Windows Enumeration and "Group (computing)" will be expounded apon or new articles for wikipedia.org will be created to accommodate this post. This article is not an advertisement.

I think I was too hasty in suggesting deletion. What might be useful is some links to put the product in context; Computer security, port scanning in general, networking. Further, there could be a list of pros and cons, capabilities and limitations, etc. and links to similar products. (The only one I've used is Nmap; I'm sure there are others.) So, that's a big list of things to do, but it can be done a bit at a time. I appreciate User:Druid_of_nature's contribution and hope to see many more. Tom harrison 18:06, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Article not an advertisement

I am in the same class as the author for this topic, and I will vouch for the fact that this entry is for a class project and not an advertisement.
