[edit] Stats for Bengals receiver Eddie Brown

I am currently getting conflicting stats on Bengals wide receiver Eddie Browns numbers for the game. SuperBowl.com lists that he had 3 receptions for 32 yards. [1] On the other hand, the book Total Football: The Official Encyclopedia of the National Football League (ISBN 0062701746) lists him as having 4 receptions for 44 yards.

To make matter worse, I have a copy of the official NFL Gamebook of the game and I noticed that while it lists in the individual stats section that Brown had 4 catches for 44 yards, the play-by-play listings only has three entries:

  • First quarter
    • C 26, 1–10, Esiason 17 pass to Brown right (McKyer).
  • Second quarter
    • C 21, 3–9, Esiason 7 pass to Brown left (Lott).
  • Fourth quarter
    • C 35, 1–10, Esiason 8 pass to Brown right flat (McKyer).

Looks like I have to research this further. Stay tuned. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 06:46, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Cross or Thomas (Who bungled the snap?)

I entered the info on the Randy Cross/Chuck Thomas mix-up on NBC. Since there is an all-around crackdown on trivia, I felt it would be best to use a portion of that paragraph in the main summary and delete the rest, only to find that my entry keeps returning to the trivia section AFTER I removed it.

Why is that? WAVY 10 20:31, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
