Super Bowl XLV will be the 45th annual edition of the Super Bowl in American football, and the 41st annual championship game of the modern-era National Football League (NFL). A final date has not been set, but in recent years the Super Bowl has been played on the first Sunday in February, which would be on on February 6, 2011. The venue will be the Dallas Cowboys New Stadium in Arlington, Texas. This will be the first time that the Super Bowl will be held in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and the third time it will be held in Texas (Houston was the host city to Super Bowls VIII and XXXVIII).

In the United States, the game will be televised nationally by FOX.[1] In Canada, the game will be televised nationally by CTV.
