The Super-Axis was a fictional group of supervillains in Marvel Comics' original Invaders series. They first appeared in Invaders #40 (May 1979) and were created by Roy Thomas, Donald F. Glut, and Alan Kupperberg.
During World War II, the Japanese agent called Lady Lotus used her hypnotic powers to assemble a group of Axis agents with super-powers, to subvert the United States from within. She sent them against the Invaders, a team of American superheroes whom Lady Lotus felt was inconvenient. The Members of the group included Master Man, Warrior Woman, the first Baron Blood and U-Man. Later Lady Lotus also hypnotized the Human Torch, and although he was not identified as a member of the group, he fought the Invaders alongside them. Eventually, the Torch broke free, and Lady Lotus abandoned the group and fled to safety. The members of the Super-Axis found themselves confused and dispersed. Years later U-Man would kidnap and rape Lady Lotus as punishment for controlling him in this way, resulting in the birth of Nia Noble, who would become an ally of a later incarnation of the Invaders.
