Sunshine noir
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sunshine Noir is a literary term or euphemism for anything related to having dark meaning or morbid sources yet existing out in the open daylight.
Bryan Cooper is known for coining the term to describe the Miami art scene in a Miami Herald article in 2005. The term began as a play on words describing the macabre nature of various artists' work in a brightly lit vacation destination. The term has been used by authors describing contemporary art in the region.[1]
