Sunseed

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sunseed refers to a strain of sunflower whose oil Walkers have used to fry their crisps since mid-2006. According to Walkers [1], the oil's higher content of monounsaturated fat makes it healthier than the sunflower oil which they used previously. The term appears throughout Walkers' website in upper case and with an assertion of registered trademark, as "SUNSEED®".

In lower case case the word "sunseeds" has been used as an abbreviation for sunflower seeds.[2]
