Sunny Ridell began singing on the street corners in Crystal Springs, Mississippi, and later he migrated to New Orleans, Louisiana, where he signed with Whitecliff Records, the record label of such artists as Fats Domino and Little Richard. While at Whitecliff Records, Ridell recorded the CD, "Come Into My World." Sunny had roles in at least 18 movies, which includes "Leadbelly" and "Outlaw Blues."
After the 9/11 attack on The World Trade Center, Ridell wrote and recorded, "Hey Osama!". Ecko Records released this song on the CD, "Sunny Ridell."
