Sunalini N Menon (nee Basu) is Asia's first woman professional in the field of coffee tasting [1] or coffee cupping. She is a coffee quality control expert, with a Master's degree in food and nutrition from the Women's Christian College[1]. She started her career at the Coffee Board of India [2] in 1972. Currently, she runs Coffeelab Private Limited, a consultancy at Bangalore, India, that she started in 1996. She is also the quality ombudsman of the Specialty Coffee Association of India.
