[edit] History
Founded in 1999, Sun Capital HealthCare, Inc. was established as a specialized funding source for the healthcare industry. Because reimbursement delays negatively affect the cash flow of healthcare providers and putting constant financial pressure on the healthcare industry, SCH’s MAR funding program was developed to fill a healthcare industry need for working capital for providers or suppliers in a growth mode or financial stress.
[edit] Services
Medical Accounts Receivable (MAR) Funding is used by healthcare providers and suppliers as a source of immediate and unrestricted funding. It is a financial tool that provides healthcare executives with a cash flow solution for their working capital needs. The cash infusion resulting from the purchase and sale of the healthcare provider’s accounts receivable is debt-free and the availability of funds grows with patient volume. Unlike the limitations on the use of funds normally imposed by banks, the funds from SCH’s MAR funding program are unrestricted in how they can be utilized. The company serves various healthcare providers and suppliers, including hospitals and healthcare networks, physician groups, ambulatory centers, in-home health service providers, durable medical equipment/home medical equipment [DME/HME] companies, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency transportation providers and pharmacies among others.
