What should be included and in what catagories and order? I propose something like:

Name(kanji/romanji)
Image
Personal Info
Real Name
Birth Place
DOB
Height (ft)
Weight (lb)
Career
Heya
Rank
Record
Debut
First Highest Promotion Date (Juryo,Makuuchi, Sanyaku,Ozeki,Yokozuna)
Yusho# for heighest level won (makuuchi, makushita, sandanme, jonidan)
etc

I think there ought to be things like: total wins, number of makuuchi/other yusho, number of 3shos, date of first dohyo appearance, first makuuchi appearance, perhaps favourite technique, etc. most of that stuff can be found directly on nihon sumo kyokais website. i, however, have no idea about how to put that into any kind of form/if it could somehow be automatically updated (ie- the record everytime he wins/loses)柱

Real name needs to be changed to birth name. For one, foreign wrestlers who take Japanese citizenship have there legal names changed. For two, when they are in the sumo, their real name is their shikona, I would argue. So, it should be changed to birth name. XinJeisan 08:34, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

The only trouble with making that change is that it would have to be adjusted in every article where this is used. I can make it an either/or thing though. TCC (talk) (contribs) 04:25, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Date of Death

I tried to add a date of death and place of death to the infobox, but it doesn't seem to be working. Can someone figure out what I am doing wrong? thanks XinJeisan 00:18, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

I fixed the problem, however I do not think place of death should be included as it is not very relevant information. Place of birth gives you original nationality, which is important with restrictions on foreigners in sumo. Yukata Ninja 18:34, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
