Actor Suman's long hiatus from acting was caused by his conviction on charges that he made/acted in o movies in Tamil Nadu. He spent some time in jail. I am not able to find references to his conviction, so I am not adding this info to the main article. If anyone has proper references, please add the reason for his long absence from the movies. Very few movie actors get convicted in India. It is a very unique case of a rich kid from a well to do family, actually being convicted and sent to jail in India.

Suman is very unique among the movie actors of Tamil Nadu. He was convicted and jailed for making o movies. I would not make such a serious negative remark without proper verifyable reference.
