Suizenji

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Suizenji Jojuen (Suizenji Koen) is an interesting and much visited garden in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, featuring miniature landscapes, a temple and small lakes containing large hungry multi-coloured carp. A short tram ride from the city, it is worth a visit but seems cramped (to an eye used to large landscapes) with interest lying more in its cultural dimension than its rather artificially manicured beauty. Lots of shops await the local tourist yen.
