Sufri

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Sufris (Arabic: سفريين‎) were a sect of Islam in the 7th and 8th centuries, and a part of the Kharijites. They established the Midrarid state at Sijilmassa. They believe Sura 12 (Yusuf) of the Qur'an is not an authentic Sura. They also believed that women may assume leadership positions.
