Sue Stockdale http://www.suestockdale.com was born in Scotland and is a polar adventurer, entrepreneur and athlete.
== Expeditions ==
1996 - Sue was the first British woman to walk to the Magnetic North Pole in 1996, along with a team of novices led by David Hempleman-Adams. The Ultimate Challenge expedition was the first time that novices from the UK had undertaken such a journey in the Arctic.
1997 – Sue was a leader on the UNESCO One Step Beyond Expedition to Antarctica led by Robert Swan, the first man to walk to both Poles. The expedition included 35 young people from 25 different countries, all whom sailed to Antarctica to carry out various environmental and cultural projects.
1998 – Sue skied the last degree (60 miles) to the Geographical North Pole with Russian explorer Victor Boyarsky and a team of international adventurers.
1999 – Crossed the Greenland Icecap on skis with a team of three others from Norway and Germany. In 1989 she took part in a Raleigh International expedition to Kenya and in 1996 she was Deputy Expedition Leader in Chile.

As an athlete Sue Stockdale has represented Scotland in 3000m and cross country events.
Sue finished runner-up in Channel 4’s Superhuman where she undertook some of the toughest tests ever seen on TV including an escape from a crashed helicopter submerged under water.
Her business background is that of a senior management role in Corporate Training and Development. She introduced a major change management programme into a UK utility and as a UN Task Leader led a major improvement project within the United Nations in the Former Yugoslavia.
Sue has an MBA in Entrepreneurship and an MSc in Quality Management and Improvement.
She lectures at Oxford Brookes University and University of Bath on entrepreneurship and is author of Kickstart Your Motivation and Secrets of Successful Women Entrepreneurs.
