[edit] United Nations Claim
"Sudbury once bid (or not) to become the site for the headquarters of the United Nations.[citation needed]" I think that this should be deleated because of not only the unverifed source but also how it is worded. "bid (or not)" What is that supposed to mean? If you are saying that sudbury appied for the united nations to be housed in our town then we might as well just say that on ever town page. also I've looked extenively for a source and still have not found anything. If noone can give me a source in 48 hours then I will be deleating this as useless information. Time now is 9:26. Sorry if I came off as a little bit hard. Pheifdog
Updated to include a reference and to better indicate it was not the choice of the town.

[edit] Weasle words
"It is widely regarded as one of the best public high schools in the state and has the best athletic facilities of any high school in the state." sounds a lil like weasle words! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.63.5.255 (talk) 23:50, 26 February 2007 (UTC). I am going to erase this as noone has responded to my weasle word complaint and sighted evidence for the superiority of sudbury's schools.
- I agree that there was no supporting info to warrant leaving the paragraph as is. But no reason to delete the whole section on education. I've re-added it and reworded the paragraph. If we can improve it further, please edit with citations. --Dalmatian Mommy 21:59, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Fair enough although I have not heard any evidence of our newspaper (the forum) or the Dyad (which is really just a pretty good year book made by students) being "nationally recognized" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.63.5.255 (talk • contribs) 02:04, 9 March 2007
- I don't know about the 2000s, but in the 90s, DYAD and The Forum repeatedly won first place at the New England Scholastic Press Association's annual competition. In 1999, DYAD was selected by Jostens Printing and Publishing (no article?) as a national yearbook sample, and the publisher printed hundreds of extra copies to distribute to schools and colleges throughout the country as examples. Unfortunately I don't have any sources for you, and even with sources I don't think it's worthy of mention in the article. — jmorgan (talk) 03:40, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- That's fine. The newspaper and yearbook info can go if there is no support of the claim; that was the only thing I left in that was unsupported. I thought maybe someone would come back with some updated info. And just a little reminder - please sign your posts. Thanks.--Dalmatian Mommy 06:55, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
