From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Sudbury Strike of 1978 was a strike by workers at Inco's operations in Sudbury, Ontario, which lasted from September 15, 1978 until June 7, 1979. The conflict has been noted as one of the most important labour disputes in Canadian history [1], and played a critical role in spurring new economic development in the city into the 1980s and 1990s.
