Sudbury Star

The Sudbury Star is a Canadian daily newspaper, published in the City of Greater Sudbury, Ontario. It is owned by Osprey Media, a media conglomerate that bought The Sudbury Star on July 31, 2001. As of the six-month period ending March 31, 2006, it had a total weekly circulation of 106,560 [1], making it the largest newspaper in Northeastern Ontario by circulation.
The newspaper was launched in 1909 as the Daily Northern Star, but faced financial difficulties in its early years of operation.
