Sucata Run

The idea of Sucata Run has been concieved in the heads of the young development NGO Gemin-i.org employees. Gemini.org is an educational NGO, registered as a charity in the UK, at the centre of it's activities is facilitation of interactive development education project for schools in the UK and several African countries. The major target of the organisation is to make school education more interactive, so children can communicate via the Gemini.org developed software on the topics related to many international development issues.

Sucata Run is a fundraising initiative that would allow gemin-i.org to carry on the work started 10 years ago.

Sucata means junk in Portuguese… and participating teams are rallying in cars worth not more than £250. Team members do not have to be mechanics or even car owners, this rally is for everyone who loves travelling, has a sense of adventure and wants to to invest some effort for a good cause.

The rally winds its way through some of the most stunning countryside in Europe, from the vineyards of Bordeaux to the golden beaches close to Lisbon. En route, ‘Sucateers’ make pit stops at beautiful locations such as Orleans, Biarritz and San Sebastian and ending at the most Western point of Europe – Cabo da Roca.
