[edit] The Parallels to Reality Section

This is mainly poorly worded conjecture and spurious at best. The affects of Substance D are much more in line with the affects of narcotics withdrawal or dissociatives such as Ketamine or PCP than LSD. The Jim Barris character is showing symptoms more along the lines of stimulant or marijuana usage (hubris, rampant paranoia and delusions) than LSD usage. PKD and others during the late 1960s and early 1970s in America were exposed to a number of experimental drugs on the streets that were of unknown origin. Many of them were being sold as LSD, but were quite different in nature and effect. In short, there is no reason for the "Parallels to Reality" section to be there at this point. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.7.69.242 (talk) 04:59, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
