Su Zhi-Ming

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Su Zhi-Ming is the Roman Catholic bishop of the diocese of Baoding, China. As a result of China's communist governmental policies, the practice of Roman Catholicism is forbidden by law.

Chinese officials arrested him and exercised their power to not disclose his whereabouts in the media, which in China is operated by the ruling Communist party. Zhi-Ming's location remained unknown until November 15, 2003, when he was accidentally discovered in a Baoding hospital. He has since disappeared without a trace. At the current time, it remains unknown whether or not he is alive or dead.
