Rob Smith is a radio presenter originating from Nottingham. He worked as a producer and swing presenter at Radio Trent between 1994 and 1997.

He then went on to Severn Sound in Gloucester as breakfast show producer before taking over the evening show called The Hot 30 Countdown. It was whilst here that he was eventually asked to present the show with Mel Everett broadcasting from Bristol at GWR Network centre (now GCap Media) changing the shows name to "Mel & Rob's Hot 30 Countdown". It was eventually broadcast across 30 stations up until Christmas 2001.

Rob then moved to Bournemouth to present the 12 - 4pm show on 2CR FM changing to the drive show in early 2004 which he has been doing since. He also recently started a video production company called Studio 2 Media [1].
