Stuart Bennett

Stuart Waddingham Bennett (born 11 September 1959, Sheffield, South Yorkshire) was a professional English Billiards and Snooker referee from 1991 to 2003.

He has refereed at all major professional tournaments including the final of the Powerhouse United Kingdom Championship and the Regal Scottish Open along with the World Professional Billiards Championship.

He has officiated 2 maximum (147) breaks in tournament play. These were Stephen Maguire (Regal Scottish Masters) and David Mclellen (Benson and Hedges Championship).

Other TV appearances include an extra on Emmerdale Farm, You Bet (Series 9, Show 10) and Channel 4's Peoples Book Of Records where he was voted by viewers as the referee with the most dominating command.

He has now retired from refereeing full time but still officiates in snooker exhibitions and lives in Barnsley.
