Strood Rural District was a rural district with an area of 196.44 km² in the county of Kent, England. It was expanded in 1935 by merging with the disbanded Hoo Rural District. It was named after and administered from Strood.
On April 1, 1974 it was split between the new districts of Medway and Gravesham.
At the time of its dissolution it consisted of the following 16 civil parishes.
