[edit] History
Streetz & Young Deuces got their start when their mixtape, We Want In Vol. 2, sold over 15,000 units through promotion on the street and on the Internet. Since then, they have appeared on numerous other underground artists' mixtapes, such as DJ Kurupt, DJ Stylz, and DJ Green Lantern. They have also collaborated with established acts like Scarface's Green City members Spark Dawg & Yung Texxus, Noelle, and Dipset artists Tom Gist, Body Head Entertainment's Choppa and Mims. While they have received little attention from Milwaukee area radio stations, other stations like WQHT Hot 97 of New York City and So So Def Radio in Atlanta have shown them support. The duo also receives a lot of attention on SIRIUS Satellite Radio and XM Radio.
Following their interview in the June 2006 issue of The Source, they began receiving national attention, soon appearing in Rago Magazine, Hip Hop Weekly, Ozone Magazine, Rap Fanatics, and One Mic Magazine. They were awarded "Up & Coming Artist of The Year" at the 2006 Get Em Magazine Awards, beating Bun B's group Mddl Fngz and Slim Thug's Group, The Bosshog Outlaws. Following that they secured a slot on the And 1 DVD series with their single "So Fresh."
Streetz & Young Deuces co-founded their own independent label, EMP Entertainment, and have signed eight other underground Milwaukee artists.
They are currently sponsored by Crunk Energy Drink & 2520 Clothing.
