Streatham station is the central railway station in Streatham in south London. It is off Streatham High Road, and is in Travelcard Zone 3.
Services are operated by First Capital Connect and Southern. First Capital Connect operates services to Luton and Bedford via Blackfriars, the City and Kings Cross, and to Wimbledon in the south. Southern operates services Between London Bridge station and West Croydon
A newsstand inside the station ticket hall sells newspapers, coffee and snacks. There is no seating.
To the south of the station on a long stretch of line is a newly opened station at Mitcham Eastfields.
In the 1920s there was a plan to extend the Northern Line from Kennington to Streatham via Brixton and Herne Hill replacing the British Rail tracks to Streatham. The plans were in place for the extension, however it never materialised like much of the New Works Programme for the Northern Line.
