The Straight-billed Reedhaunter (Limnoctites rectirostris) is a species of bird in the Furnariidae family. It is monotypic within the genus Limnoctites. It is sometines placed the genus Limnornis, but evidence suggests present species is closer to Cranioleuca spinetails than it is to the Curve-billed Reedhaunter.[1]
It is found in marshy areas of north-eastern Argentina, south-eastern Brazil, and Uruguay. It is associated with spiny plants of the genus Eryngium.
It is threatened by habitat loss.
