Historic image of the ship Struma, which on February 23, 1942 was towed out to sea and left adrift with a disabled engine by Turkish authorities with 779 refugees on board. The ship was torpedoed and sunk by a Soviet submarine within hours, killing all but one person on board. This image is sourced from [1] but is apparently originally from a Turkish newspaper from 1942. There is no known free equivalent of this historic image, which is used to illustrate the Struma (ship) article.
