Source: I took this picture on September 29, 2005, with a Canon EOS Digital Rebel.

Summary: This is a representative street scene on South Padre Island, Texas showing some residences with a hotel in the background. The vegetation is all introduced. In the state of nature, the way it was 50 years ago, the only vegetation was the beach grass and a few vines.
