Stowmarket High School is a High School in Stowmarket, Suffolk in the United Kingdom. It currently accommodates 1,090 students from school years 9 to 13, and roughly 70 teachers. The Headteacher is Keith Penn who recently took over from David Oliver who retired at Easter 2007.

The school was founded in 1909 and established as a comprehensive in 1971. In 1955 the school was moved from Violet Hill Road to the Onehouse Road site it occupies today.

The school was awarded Technology College status in March 2001, and has been renewed in 2006. This has seen the creation of new computer suites in the school as well as improved provision for technology students.

[edit] Sixth Form

The school also has a Sixth Form centre run by the head of sixth form Mr A. Soanes. It is now based in its own dedicated building. This features a Business Studies computer room as well as a common room and gallery seating area. The centre also has four classrooms which are mainly used for the teaching of Business Studies and Media Studies, the Sixth Form also has its own Art Studio and Design room.
