"Stop to Start" is a song recorded by American R&B soul vocal quintet Blue Magic, in 1974.

It was written by Allan Felder and Jim Grant and released on the album "Blue Magic". The song was the Blue Magic's third single and preceded their million-selling "Sideshow" and got a good run on urban radio. "Stop to Start" is a strong ballad about a rocky romance was their biggest hit to date.
