Stockland Castle

Stockland Castle is the name given to two Iron Age Hill forts on Stockland Hill close to Stockland in Devon. The two sites are known as Stockland Great Castle and Stockland Little Castle, they are approx 1km North/South of one another. Stockland Great Castle, being slightly South of it's smaller neighbour, occupies a position on the Eastern slope of the Hill at between 190-210 Metres above Sea Level. Stockland Little Castle, North and slightly East, occupies a small promontory on the Eastern slope of the Hill at approx 175 Metres above Sea Level.[1]
