What I do is keeping Wikipedia clean from personal adoration pages and entries to him at other pages. You are already going to the point of equating him to famous people, which is not valid. The problem I have with your actions is that they are motivated not from what is encyclopedic, but based on what you like. The status that Dr. Mirabello has reached in the academic world, or in the authors world is not notable yet. I admire you for being so pasionate about someone, however, that should not be equated to that he is of encyclopedic value.
On the same line, I would suggest that you merge the text of the Chronicle with the page of the university as a small header. That would be a nice contribution, while the current Chronicle page is nothing more than a short description. --KimvdLinde 20:38, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
- I would consider two things. First is that the page of Duke university is HUGE, it is very long and there is a lot of information. Adding the chronicle information would make it even larger. Furthermore, it has a redership of 40.000 and a webpage hit of 70.000, both are substantial. Even with that, if you look at the base of the page, it is considered a stub, and should be improved. You university page is rather short, the chronicle has a much smaller readership (2000). Combining it would make much more sense in this context than in the Duke university context. The text is rather streched out now, and condensing it would make sense. Maybe this is a suggestion:
[edit] The Chronicle
The Chronicle is the editorially independant student newspaper of the University. It was first published as The Shawnee Star before the name was changed. The Chronicle is student operated on a mixed budget, some from the University, some from advertising and is circulated bi-weekly with a circulation of roughly 2,000.
you can put in a link to the website somewhere. (you can then make from the old page a redirect to the universuty page) PS, try to sign your contributions with --~~~~ --KimvdLinde 21:26, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
