Hello. I'm a 25 year old born and resident in the UK. I grew up near Cambridge, lived in County Durham for six years, and now live in London.

My interaction in Wikipedia is fairly minor, as I am expert on nothing much. Mostly I just potter around topics I know something about when I find myself unable to sleep, and fill in any little gaps I find. I also enjoy a spot of amateur photography, so I try and upload my photos wherever relevant (as Public domain or under Creative Commons licenses), because I enjoy seeing articles with a splash of colour!

Places of interest (or not) in the UK.
History, in which I gained my degree at uni, specialising in nationalism.
Almost all types of music, especially:
- vintage funk, soul, rare groove, etc.
- most forms of electronica, particularly drum and bass, but also nu skool breaks, psytrance and others.
- fusions of live and electronic music such as Hybrid, Reprazent, Shpongle, The Ozric Tentacles, etc.
- I had about 10 years of classical lessons on the piano and clarinet. In 2007 I started teaching myself (non classical) alto sax.
- I also have a long and continuous history of playing in bands and producing music in a small bedroom studio.
- I output my music-related writings of a more subjective, opinion-based nature than appropriate for Wikipedia (let's not call it "blogging") at www.last.fm/user/stevekeiretsu/. Somewhat sporadically it must be said.
