[edit] Steven and Joe's Bar

what is the name of steven and joe's bar in boston?

It is a restaurant - fuck it also has a bar area. It's at 701 Main St, Norwell, MA.

The bar in Boston is called Mama Kin after a track from Aerosmith's first album.

[edit] Hello Kitty

The article on Hello Kitty mentions that Tyler has contributed to the popularity of H.K. Is this some form of vandalism or true? Seems odd but who knows...? Dismas 07:00, 11 August 2005 (UTC)

Seems like vandalism...What was specifically said? Michael 04:58, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
He was shown in a magazine article holding Hello Kitty Merchandise which "contributed to its popularity in America." article --72.58.105.35 17:41, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Break Up?

according to an ET interview not so long ago, apparently Steven broke up with Erin.

When was this interview? They seemed to have been together all the time!70.108.49.18 07:40, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sex Symbol

Just professing my love for Steven.... oh Steven, one day, you will be mine.. hehe. But seriously speaking, how bout some mention of Steven's sex symbol image in the article, because I think that's a significant part of what Aerosmith was. The groupies and whatnot hehe.. if a source is necessary, here's some: Boston Magazine: Steven Tyler, and Metal Express Radiohere's a quote from the second article: "Mike Grant reminded me of a young Steve Tyler with all the swagger and stage presence that made Tyler a sex symbol". I just think it might add something to the article to mention that he's widely seen as a sex symbol. Stop The Lies 11:31, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Stop_The_Lies

have you seen the current issus of SI, its the swimsuit ed. and st's in there... 24.154.199.103 21:32, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Steve Tylers family

Anyone know what Tylers parents names were? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.101.54.166 (talk) 18:19, 18 December 2006 (UTC).

On Polish TV Steve said that his Grandfather's name (who he claims was Ukrainian) was Czarnyszewicz (pronounced: Charneeshevich). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 160.83.32.14 (talk) 16:08, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

According to a website Steven's grandfather was called Giovanni Tallarico. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.27.26.57 (talk) 19:13, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] High school daze

Some years ago, I was rather amused to hear that Steve Tallarico, as he was known then, made some of his fellow high school students live in fear of him. One of those students was my former boss, Peter Goldstein. ERF 16 January 2007 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 199.181.174.146 (talk) 18:22, 16 January 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Religious Affiliation

Ok, I was wondering about what religion he considers himself. I'd think Christian due to songs on Honkin' on Bobo, but not sure. IronCrow 03:50, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

it used to say roman catholic on this page, but it has since been removed. i'm guessing some sort of christianity, due to a lot of the content he puts in his song lyrics 24.154.199.103 21:30, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
It would seem that way - here he is singing amazing grace[1]. It seems to me to be worth a mention, and I came here to read about it, due to the contrast with the 'toxic' 'demon' image. --Timtak 01:08, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

I agree, probably some sort of Christianity. He said "God Bless You" at the concert last night, anyway. 89.100.46.70 18:24, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Original Research? What?

What's with the original research tag? Please elaborate what you believe to be original research. Pretty much everything in this article can be verified by reading Aerosmith's autobiography Walk This Way or by not living under a rock the past few years. Abog 08:03, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sicilian or Italian?

Tommy Tallarico is Steven's cous in mind of herin and he is catagorized in the Sicilian-American part... would Steven also? - Deathrocker 17:43, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Removed section

I removed the following section per WP:BLP. Feel free to add it back if you can cite a reliable source.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Steve Tyler revealed that he had been suffering from Hepatitis C for the past 10 years. He had undergone extensive treatment in the last three years, including 11 months of interferon therapy, which he said was "agony". ShadowHalo 09:25, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Conflicting info

Just noticed a conflict:

Under Career, "Steven is now happily married his wife Tiffany Vivienne." And under Personal Life -> Relationships "Tyler is currently dating Erin Brady."

Which is it? The latter comment has two references, and I would suggest even if the (unreferenced) former is more current information it is in the wrong section.

Feyrauth (talk) 04:55, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

First entry was a recent addition by an unregistered wikipedian. Google search results in no significant hits for the name "Tiffany Vivienne". Reverted due to suspected vandalism. Feyrauth (talk) 05:05, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Erin Brady & Assault

There seems to be a conflict emerging over whether Erin Brady's assault belongs in this article or not. I don't believe it does, but I really couldn't care one way or the other as long as there's consensus. It keeps being removed and re-added, with the formatting getting mangled every time. I'm going to go ahead and remove this bit and the broken ref tag that came with it, but I'm not going to keep reverting it unless consensus requests that we do such. Fogster (talk) 20:02, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

I agree that this little tidbit about Erin Brady does not belong in a Steven Tyler Wikipedia article. Tyler has dated/married several women in the past and to document, in detail, all of their little eccentricities would be absolutely ridiculous. All that really needs to be mentioned is who he dated and when, which ones he married, and which ones he fathered children with. If this was an article about Erin Brady, this gossip tidbit about her assaulting someone might warrant inclusion, but since it's not, then it does not belong in an article about Steven Tyler.
Steven Tyler, particularly his personal life, is a frequent target of vandalism on Wikipedia, and since these edits are being done by an unregistered user, I will continue to treat as such, and revert it everytime. Abog (talk) 20:13, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] recent clinic checkin

Its mentioned three times. Someone want to decide what the best reference and placement is? (John User:Jwy talk) 05:16, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

I just added this link, might help support the fact.suntimes.com, Spike doing the MJ thing --Florentino floro (talk) 10:11, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
I am more concerned that the same item is mentioned in three different places. One would be better. I could choose but thought I would throw it out to those that are more into it. (John User:Jwy talk) 16:03, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

He was at the Clinic to be a Sponsor for several celebrity addicts, he is forbidden from making a public statement due to the Confidentiality Agreement with the VH1 TV Show being filmed. The closest validation you can get on this is an interveiw he had at the MAP awards a couple weeks ago, where he stated he would be making himself available to several people 24/7 to help them, and where ever he was, he would stop what he was doing to help them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.67.93.158 (talk) 12:16, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] né/née

In the references, it says "Steven Tyler nee Tallarico" Née is french for "born" if you are a girl. It's used sometimes in English to show the maiden name of females. It's overused in wikipedia in my opinion, by those who think it means "whose name used to be". Presumably these are the same people who think "circa" means "the exact year of". ;) If anything it should be né, with one e and an accent aigu, which is the masculine version. I tried to change it but it wasn't showing for me on the edit page for the references. ~bing né boing —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.119.134.216 (talk) 01:46, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
