Talk:Steve Reeves

I changed "Russian hero Hadji Murad" to "Tatar hero Hadji Murad". Murad lived, it's true, within the boundaries of the Russian Empire at the time. However, he would almost definitely have balked at being described as Russian. He was a Crimean Tatar at a time not very long after the Crimea's annexation by Russia; further he was a rebel against the Russians.
If anyone is looking for a more neutral way to describe him instead, you might want to consider it from the angle that he's famous because Tolstoy wrote an eponymous book about him in 1904. Paul Drye
[edit] Filmography
More often this is in the order by date rather than alphabetical, I believe. Doc 04:11, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
There's no citation to support the assertion that Reeves was offered the role of James Bond in 1962 --68.105.43.65 02:37, 26 April 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Stats
On his IMDB page it says under Trivia, "At the peak of his bodybuilding career at age 23, he was 6'1", 200 pounds, with a chest measuring 48 inches, a 29-inch waist, and had 17 1/2-inch biceps." Very different from the stats given on his Wikipedia page.74.100.204.167 05:48, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
