I would request that the speedy deletion be applied to the wikipedia article "Steve raybine" as its formatting is incorrect in that it should have the "R" capitalized.
While much of the material is taken from the website, www.steveraybine.com the other viable sources of information on Steve Raybine are out of print back issues of the magazines Percussive Notes and Sticks and Mallets - which I intend to encorporate into the page soon, as well as old files of various Universities - which I do not have access to.
I did however study vibraphone with Dr. Stephen Raybine in Omaha, NE for a period of about a year and can personally vouch for the authenticity of all the information listed here. As for the copyright sensitive nature of the webpage, let it be noted that I did not include any contact information or links to torrents of recordings or in anyway infringed upon Dr. Raybine's rights to make money off of his own webpage.
This page should not be deleted any more than any other page listing short bio's of musicians. Most of which obtain their information directly from the websites. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fountainhead83 (talk • contribs)
- Thank you for your contribution to Wikipedia. Let me emphasize that I proposed the deletion of this article based solely on copyright concerns. The problem is that you have included text that is itself copyrighted in the article. Any text included on Wikipedia needs to be contributed under a GFDL license. The copyright holder (Raybine himself) has apparently not relinquished the copyright under such a license. I would recommend that you use the material in the article as a source, but write the article in your own words. JChap (talk • contribs) 03:19, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
